Objectives: -Participants will understand and be able to coach clients in DBT distress tolerance skills to manage suicidal ideation -Participants will be able to do a chain analysis with a client who has taken steps toward suicidal behavior Bio: Mark Schorr, licensed as an LPC in Oregon and LMHC in New York, has been a therapist for more than three decades.He worked for 15 years in community behavioral healthcare, progressing from clinician to director of training for Oregon’s largest behavioral healthcare provider. He worked for eight years at Portland DBT, where he established their training program and headed the substance abuse program. He is part of a multi-disciplinary team in private practice at Pacific Premier Group. He is the author of four journal articles, numerous articles in the popular press, and twelve novels.
