Description Join Mariko “Mod” Ono, LCSW for a one hour online course on the current climate for LGBTIQA+ individuals and community and what issues may be arising in therapy with this population. OBJECTIVES: -Learn about who falls into this category now and the issues that may bring queer-identified individuals into therapy -Explore current sociopolitical challenges that impact the LGBTIQA+ community -Learn how critical-liberation psychology can offer empowering insights for therapists in supporting their clients Bio: Mariko “Mod” Ono, LCSW (she/her) Mariko “Mod” Ono, LCSW (she/her) is an Asian American queer-identified social worker at Kaiser Permanente, where she has worked for over 17 years in both Oregon and Northern California. She currently works full time at Kaiser Permanente NW, specializing in psychiatric ER crisis services, and is also an adjunct faculty instructor at Smith College School for Social Work, where she has taught since 2007.
