Description In this training, therapists will learn to identify suicide risk factors, assess for potential lethality, create effective safety plans, and manage chronic suicidal ideation. This course will address: which diagnoses and symptoms should be most concerning, the most important elements to document in a suicide risk assessment, how to develop a suicide risk safety plan with a client, and when higher levels of care indicated. Mark Schorr, LPC CADC I is the former director of training for Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare. His experience includes eight years with Portland DBT before moving to Pacific Premier Group. He is licensed in the states of Oregon and New York, and widely recognized as an expert in assessing/managing/treating suicidal behavior, DBT, and crisis de-escalation.
