Suicide risk assessment requires both clinical skill and emotional steadiness. In this training, you’ll learn evidence-informed strategies for assessing suicide risk while recognizing how your own nervous system can influence clinical judgment. You’ll leave with practical tools to stay present, think clearly, and conduct compassionate, effective suicide assessments even in high-stakes conversations. Since obtaining licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2006, Jennifer Jim’s professional journey has spanned diverse settings, including outpatient clinics, community mental health, and forensics. In her current role, she has a private practice specializing in assisting adults dealing with ADHD, anxiety, and trauma using ACT, ART, CBT, and IFS.
