Objective 1: To gain an understanding of the general beliefs and practices associated with Wicca and Paganism in order to better support clients who identify with these spiritual traditions. Objective 2: To explore ways clients’ spiritual beliefs and practices can complement therapeutic interventions to support treatment goals. Course description: This workshop will provide information on Wicca and Paganism, and associated terms, to help mental health providers understand what clients mean when they identify as Wiccans, Pagans, or Witches. An overview of beliefs and practices will be provided, including a discussion of how spiritual practices can help a client identify their strengths and develop their coping skills. Brief Bio: Camille Keith, MS, LPC has been working in the mental health field since 2010, and has been fully licensed since 2021. She began studying Wicca and Paganism in 2003. In 2006 she completed a Priestess 1 class with Sister Spirit, a women’s spirituality group in Portland, OR. She provides individual counseling for adults in her private practice in Hillsboro, OR and often works with clients who identify as Witches or Pagans. Her counseling approach focuses on self-compassion, mindfulness, and helping clients clarify their personal values. This is part of the Bite-Sized CE Series.
