Supervising off site in the virtual era

Description Many supervisors have transitioned to off site virtual supervision. This course will focus on the best practices for legally and ethically managing your supervisees as well as group discussion around strengths and weaknesses of the new supervision space.

Learning objectives:

Identify the pros and cons of off site supervision
Identifying boundaries and legal issues around off site supervision
Assessing your supervisee through third party, video, or audio

Presenter bio:

Lisa P McLaughlin has been working as a therapist for 20 years and supervising for 15 in California and Oregon. She has extensive knowledge of virtual care and managing the needs of supervisees while not actively on site. She is currently living in Fairview Oregon and lives with her 5 year old daughter, husband, and various animal co-workers.
