Description This workshop equips clinicians with a whole-person framework for understanding how physiology drives anxiety, depression, and burnout. Participants will learn how to deliver effective psychoeducation, ethically screen for physical health factors, and support sustainable lifestyle change, all while staying firmly within scope of practice.
Learning objectives:
Describe how stress physiology, sleep disruption, nutrition, and hormonal changes affect anxiety, depression, and burnout.
Utilize psychoeducation strategies to support client lifestyle behavior change without scope creep.
Integrate physical health screening questions ethically and within scope of practice.
Presenter bio:
Deidre Gestrin is currently an LCPC, RPT-S, ACS, and NBC-HWC. She has worked with children and family systems for 17 years. Recently completed a functional medicine health coaching program to focus on treating the whole person including mental, emotional, and physical health components.
