Description
Objectives
-Identify at least two reasons why mandatory disclosure is a vital aspect of client care that provides an opportunity to educate clients about the ethical role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in their treatment and documented record.
-Name three ethical considerations when implementing AI in clinical behavioral health documentation.
-Describe two ways in which AI is not used to replace the therapist, but to support and increase efficiency and clinical competency.
Description
This training equips clinicians to navigate the evolving role of automation and AI in client care with clarity, transparency, and ethical grounding. Participants explore why mandatory disclosure is essential for informed consent and client education, examine key ethical considerations such as privacy, accuracy, and professional judgment, and learn how to integrate AI tools responsibly in documentation workflows. The training emphasizes that the ethical use of AI can enhance efficiency and supports clinical competency without replacing the therapist’s expertise, presence, decision‑making, or human rapport building.
